Craig Morgan and Chris Young will be a part of the upcoming Stars for Stripes tour that visits military bases and hospitals in Iraq and Germany. Stars for Stripes, GAC and Armed Forces Entertainment are working together to bring soldiers a series of acoustic performances featuring Morgan and Young. Young currently has his first No. 1 hit, “Getting’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” on the Billboard Charts. Morgan’s single, “Bonfire,” is holding strong at No. 12.

“This will be my sixth trip to entertain and visit with the men and women of the Armed Forces. I know firsthand what it's like to be deployed overseas away from your loved ones, and it's an honor to be able to take a little piece of home to them with this tour,” said Morgan.

Young added, “I have such respect for the men and women of our Armed Forces, and I am very excited to get the opportunity to go visit the troops in Iraq and Germany. Most people will never have the opportunity to see into their world. I'm looking forward to seeing it firsthand.”

Joe Bowser, a U.S. Army veteran, and SSGT Scott Lilley, member of USAF, will make special guest appearances on the tour. Both men were injured while serving overseas in Iraq. Bowser became amputee after an incident in Iraq in 2004, while Lilley is recovering from a horrific brain injury acquired in Baghdad in 2007. The men continue to travel to the Middle East to show their support for those still in combat.

The artists and crew will depart for Iraq on Oct. 25 aboard a KC135 provided by the 434th Air Refueling Wing out of Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana. For more details, visit www.StarsForStripes.com.
