Country Music Hitmen Party at Joe's

4/9/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer The CMA Songwriters Series at Joe’s Pub is back in New York City for a fourth year, celebrating Nashville's Country Music songwriters. Kickoff of the 2008 Series is May 17 with "The Hitmen of Music Row," a TV series for Great American Country.  Songwriters include Bob DiPiero ("Take Me As I Am" recorded by Faith Hill), Tony Mullins ("How Forever Feels" recorded by Kenny Chesney), Jeffrey Steele ("Somethin' To Be Proud Of" recorded by Montgomery Gentry), and Craig Wiseman ("Live Like You Were Dying" recorded by Tim McGraw).  The songwriters will perform and share insight and stories from their Country Music hits. "Since its inception, the CMA Songwriters Series has been a tremendous success," said CMA Chief Executive Officer Tammy Genovese in press release Tuesdsay. Kevin Abbott, General Manager of Joe's Pub added, "Over the past 10 years our intimate stage has been graced by some of the greatest performers of our time, and the CMA songwriters are among the most respected and talented we have had. Upcoming Songwriter Series shows are July 17, and October 29 and 30 at Joe’s Pub.
