American’s best selling Country music magazine, Country Weekly, will be increasing its frequency to 52 times per year, as announced by American Media Inc.The Editor-in-Chief of Country Weekly, Larry Holden, said, “We’re going back to our roots. Country Weekly launched 15 years ago as a weekly and that’s what we’ll be again. We’ve done extensive research and this is something our readers want.”Holden also noted that the magazine’s increased frequency will become effective with the March 2 issue. Additionally, Country Weekly’s cover price will be reduced from $3.49 to $2.49. While the price reduction is appealing to the purchasers of Country Weekly, it will also add value to the magazine during a struggling economy.“We’ll continue to provide the latest news about country music’s biggest stars, except now we’ll be doing it twice as often,” Holden added. “There will be a lot of new features in the magazine as well.”
