Yee Haw They’re Gonna Have A Country Throwdown

Should I crank up the still? Oh wait, it’s not quite that kind of throwdown…maybe. They haven’t said where these events will take place yet, but it is a combination of concerts and a concourse of vendors and attractions. There will be multiple stages at the events, including a Bluebird Café songwriters stage. Country Music acts to perform include Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, The Eli Young Band, Jack Ingram, Eric Church and more.

Taylor Are You Gonna Get Off That Chart Anytime Soon?
Taylor Swift’s self-titled release, which came out in October of 2006, has been on the charts 157 weeks, making it the longest charting album of this century. Yeah, the century’s only 10 years old now, but that’s a long time in dog years! Congrats to Taylor…who we spotted buying antiques in Nashville this past weekend.

Taylor Criticized by San Francisco Chronicle
SF Gate, a web site of the San Francisco Chronicle, is criticizing Taylor Swift for appearing in a photo with Hollywood model A.J. English while he was wearing a shirt with a swastika on it. They say her publicist says she didn’t really know “what she was doing” and English has apologized. It looks bad…probably worse than it was…hopefully. Pay attention Taylor, the world’s eyes are on you.

Tis A Noble Thing To See Lee Ann Womack On The Big Screen
But you can do just that. She appears in a film, Noble Things, about a rising country music star (not her or her role) who gets in trouble. She also contributed to the film’s soundtrack (yea) which was produced by Clay Walker. Tracy Byrd is in the film too. That girl sure can sing.
