Country Stars Lend Vocal Talents to Injured Veterans Benefit Album

Rascal-Flatts

Some of Country Music’s biggest stars have joined forces to record a new compilation album geared towards raising awareness and funding for The Fisher House Foundation, which provides housing for both active and retired military personnel, as well as the families of those who are receiving treatment at a military medical center.

My Country: Smash Hits includes recordings from Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins, Jypsi, Randy Houser, Big & Rich and Montgomery Gentry.

"We appreciate the support of each artist, and I am grateful that they chose to participate in this remarkable project by sharing their music,” said Ken Fisher, Chairman of The Fisher House Foundation.

“Fisher House serves as a tangible symbol of our support for our military,” Fisher continued. “We want them to know that there are others who care about them in their time of need. When you purchase this CD, you’re showing them that you not only have great taste in music, but that you care.”

The Fisher House Foundation features 50 comfort homes across the United States. The homes are 5,000 to 16,000 square feet and have as many as 21 suites. These homes were donated to the military and the Department of Veteran Affairs by the Fisher House Foundation, and there is no fee to stay at these homes.
