11/5/2007 Stephen L. Betts A Classic 1955 Grand National Show-winning Chevy Cameo has been officially selected as the "Country Music Truck" by the Country Music Association and The Child Safety Network. Wynonna was the first artist to autograph the vehicle. The Country Music Truck will be auctioned in 2008 with all proceeds benefiting parents in the U.S. with free information and resources to help them raise safer, healthier children. "I'm proud of the work that Child Safety Network has done to make children safer over the past 18 years. I'm especially pleased that the Country Music Association has decided to assist by asking all of the stars that attend the CMA Awards this year to add their signatures to the Country Music Truck. This will allow CSN to have a successful charity auction and turn the proceeds into urgently needed funds to teach our nation's children how to avoid becoming victims of abuse, abduction and injury," says Wynonna. As rehearsals started for the 2007 CMA Awards, so did the signing activities for the Country Music Truck. Among the many stars to sign are three Horizon Award nominees Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift, and Little Big Town, who are also nominated for Group of the Year. The past three Signature Series vehicles have sold at auction for an average of $500,000 each. The 41st Annual CMA Awards will air live Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 8:00 p.m. (ET) from the Sommet Center in Nashville, on the ABC Television Network.
