Country Music Stars Help Grammy Charity Auction

6/11/2008 Katie Ball Dwight-Yoakam Dwight Yoakam Country Music stars like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn and others are lighting up the Grammy Charity Online Auction by putting up several items for bid on eBay. Dwight Yoakam and Trace Adkins also donated items to the auction.   Money from the auction will go to MusiCares and the GRAMMY Foundation. Both are part of the Recording Academy. The GRAMMY Foundation works with industries, cultural communities and the public to keep awareness of how important music and arts education is to the forefront. MusiCares works to help those in need in the music industry. They provide medical assistance as well as financial help when needed.  Items in the auction include an autographed acoustic guitar from Dwight Yoakam  and a signed copy of George Strait’s album For The Last Time: Live From The Astrodome. Brooks & Dunn gave a photo and a signed hat that belonged to Kix Brooks. Other things included in the auction are a Taylor Swift CD/DVD, Joe Don Rooney’s jeans, a Miley Cyrus guitar and a Terri Clark t-shirt.  One big prize up for bidding is a VIP backstage pass to the 2009 Grammy Awards.
