Country Music Hall of Fame To Update Main Exhibits in 2010

The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville is set to update its main exhibit in May 2010 with a display dedicated to contemporary artists like Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
An additional case that will be devoted to Americana and contemporary bluegrass music will be added, and it will feature artifacts from Alison Krauss, Jim Lauderdale, Dell McCoury and Buddy Miller.
The primary update to the exhibit's timeline and narrative is titled "Sing Me Back Home: A Journey Through Country Music", and it will begin with developments that took place around 1965.
Additionally, the second floor gallery's theatre will feature a new video exhibit about how topical events and social political issues are reflected and country music. The exhibit will feature examples like Merle Haggard's "The Fightin' Side of Me," Loretta Lynn's "The Pill," the Dixy Chicks' "Goodbye Earl," and Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue (The Angry American)."
An extensive exhibit titled "Family Tradition" that features Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr. will remain on display through the end of 2011.
