Newcomer Cooper Boone is hoping to score one with the mid-aged Country Music crowd with his single "Cougar Dream" from his self-titled debut CD out this summer. The song entails a young man with a broken down truck being rescued by a sexy older woman.

The psychologist-turned-singer said of the single, "'Cougar Dream' comes from hearing older women talk about feeling invisible in a youth-centered world. I wanted to write an upbeat song that honors ladies out there who might not be 22 but are still out there living a full life and looking great!"

The Minnesota-born Boone keeps wears many cowboy hats: he has his own psychology practice in New York City, owns a country store in upstate New York, and hosts an online music/cooking show called "Cowboy Kitchen."

How does Boone handle all the excitement?  "I'm really practicing what I preach to my counseling clients, where I encourage people to take risks and pursue happiness," Boone said on his MySpace page. "Often that requires you to take leaps in new directions. And this is just me living my word. It's about having courage to go for what you want in life. So I'm doing that as best as I can."

Cooper Boone is set to hit stores August 4.  Visit www.cooperboone.com or to hear "Cougar Dream," visit www.myspace.com/cooperboonemusic.
