When thinking of Country Music, Nashville is considered to be city to make it happen. However, one rising Country group, Coldwater Canyon Band, calls Los Angeles home. The five-man band is making their way up the Country charts with their first single, “Nobody Knows,” which recently climbed 12 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart to No. 27. The single is off their new album, Just Getting Started.

Coldwater Canyon Band will be appearing on the Veterans Day Virtual Telethon to raise money for veteran groups around the country on Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. The band recently pledged to donate 50 percent of proceeds from their song, “Piece of Mind,” to the Veterans Aid & Attendance Organization. On the telethon, they will be performing both “Piece of Mind” and their hit single, “Nobody Knows,” as well as others.

The group recently appeared on the TV show Indie Style, which is about up and coming stars and entrepreneurs in Atlanta. The video of the appearance, which was originally aired Sept. 18, will be available at www.indiestyletv.com.

Lead vocalist Howie Vaughn has been a hit on Country radio since the release of Coldwater Canyon Band’s debut CD, Rollin’, in 2008. The first single, “Country Girls,” rose to No. 15 on the Billboard Hot Singles Chart.
