9/7/2007 Stephen L. Betts The CMT original movie Dale, a documentary on the life of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, has become the most watched program in the network’s history. Countryweekly.com reports that Dale, which premiered on CMT on Tuesday (9/4), was the highest-rated cable telecast of the day among viewers 18–49 years of age as well as total viewers. Narrated by actor Paul Newman, Dale features archival race footage, interviews with friends and fellow drivers and never-before-seen family home videos. Dale is due to be released on DVD this fall.
