CMT One Country Rewards CMT Music Award Winners' Favorite Charities

Rhapsody has partnered with CMT One Country to reward the charities of the winners of the 2009 CMT Music Awards by donating to charities chosen by the nominees. On Rhapsody.com, the proceeds of purchases of songs nominated for CMT Music Awards will also go to the artist's charity until Sunday, June 21. The awards are set to air Tuesday, June 16, at 8 p.m. on CMT and CMT.com.

"CMT One Country is honored to once again reward the charities of the winners for 2009 CMT Music Awards," said Lucia Folk, director of public affairs for CMT in a statement. "And we are privileged to partner with Rhapsody to reward not only winners, but also nominees' charities at a time when non-profits need the community's support more than ever."

CMT One Country was introduced in 2005 to "inspire CMT viewers to take action and bring about important changes in their communities." The list of charities includes the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt backed by Dierks Bentley andn Brooks & Dunn's MusiCares, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
