5/29/2008 Cliff Chartrand Webb Cheers on DockDogs at CMA MusicFest! One week from now, up to 30 dogs will compete each day of the 2008 CMA MusicFest as the Outdoor Channel hosts its competition, DockDogs®. The contest will take place in the Chevy Sports Zone in DockDogs’ 25,000 gallon mobile pool, with dogs participating in three separate events. The dogs will take part in Big Air®, a long jump contest; Extreme Vertical®, a high jump contest; and Speed Retrieve(tm), where each dog is timed while retrieving a bumper. Winners in the Big Air® contest will have the chance to move into the World Championships this summer in Minnesota. There will also be a Big Air Celebrity Challenge on Sunday at 2 p.m. Television personalities and Country Music artists will pair with a champion dog in hopes of being crowned Big Air Celebrity Champion. The event will air on Outdoor Channel as “DockDogs’ Music City Championship.” It will be part of the show’s eight episode season.
