Christian Kane’s new video for “Let Me Go” has quickly risen up to No. 1 on CMT.com. The song alone is enough to get fans reeled in, but when it’s paired in with a video with Christian’s first-rate acting skills, it wasn’t surprising when the video jumped to No. 1. The video debuted on Friday, August 5 at No. 2 but didn’t stay there for too long. The video topped out above artists such as Brad Paisley (featuring Carrie Underwood), Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney (featuring Grace Potter), and Miranda Lambert.

The song is a country power ballad from Christian’s debut album The House Rules. It helps paint the story of the ups and downs of being in love.

“I believe this ballad speaks to everyone,” says Christian. “Women are always smarter than us, but we never listen…they seem to always know what's better for us than we do.”

Roman White, whose credits include videos for Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Justin Bieber, Martina McBride, and Taylor Swift, directed the video of “Let Me Go.” It was shot on location in the desert of Lancaster, Calif. for a vintage feel while the lyrics carry a heartbreaking and hopeful tone to the piece.

“'Let Me Go' is one of my favorite powerful songs on the album,” says Christian. “I never sing about stuff I don't know about. It's just not me.”

The video is holding strong on the fan-voted site, CMT.com and Christian is thankful. Fans are not ready to “let go” of this video any time soon.
