The Second Annual Chris Ledoux Spurs and Spikes Memorial Golf Tournament raised over $26,000. All the proceeds will go directly to the Christ Ledoux Memorial Foundation, which is currently building the Chris LeDoux Memorial Park in Kaycee, Wyo. After the completion of the park, the foundation plans to direct funds to other charities, like the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. The park will include a life size and ¼ “Good Ride Cowboy” bronze sculpture of D Michael Thomas. For more information on the sculpture click: http://www.dmichaelthomas.com/sculptures/goodridecowboy-14life-chrisledoux.html
The trophies for the golf tournament were created by Tom Balding, a local bit and spur craftsman. He designed a pair of silver spurs with the tournament name on each spur. The contestants of the golf tournament competed to win one of his homemade silver spurs.
