Chevy Jump Starts Fun At 2008 CMA Music Fest

5/23/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Chevy is playing an active role in the 2008 CMA Music Festival, with free concerts, activities, and even chances to test drive a Chevy vehicle. The Fourth Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade begins Wednesday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m., featuring Country Music stars riding in Corvette Convertibles. Participating celebrities include Deborah Allen, Katie Armiger, riders from Championship Bull Riding, the cast of CMT's "Trick My Truck," Erika Jo, Crystal Gayle, The Grascals, Jeff Griffith, Indian Rodeo, Lonestar, Jason Meadows, Mountain Heart, Michael Martin Murphey, several of NASCAR's top drivers, One Flew South, The Roys, Keni Thomas, Trent Tomlinson, Rhonda Towns, Kyle Wyley and Chris Young. Luke Bryan Carl Black Chevy Silverado The Fan Fair parade also will include specialty vehicles, such as the Luke Bryan Carl Black Chevy Silverado, the Wrangler George Strait Chevy Silverado, and the Rodney Atkins Carl Black Chevy Silverado. Following the parade a block party will take place on the Chevy Music Stage located on the Chevy Plaza. Performing artists include Country Music stars Keith Anderson, Zac Brown, Luke Bryan, Joe Nichols, James Otto, Rissi Palmer, Phil Stacey and Chris Young. The block party concert is free and open to the public. One of the festival's popular spots is the Chevy Stage where some of Country Music's most exciting acts take to the stage daily for free concerts. This year XM Satellite Radio will be broadcasting live from the Chevy Plaza. Other Chevy/CMA Music Events include: The Ride and Drive activity that allows fans to test drive a Chevy vehicle. Country Music stars will be manning the Chevy booth at the Fan Fair Hall, giving autographs and sharing text messages with fans. The Chevy Sports Zone will display a range of NASCAR vehicles including the E85 Corvette Indy Pace Car, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s specialty Silverado, and the Dale Jr. Foundation Tahoe. Anglers can stick around for tips from LW fishermen Luke Clausen and Larry Nixon and even catch a fish in the trout pond.
