Country Music performer Kenny Chesney may be in severe pain, but it’s going to take more than that to keep this pirate and poet down.

Despite a severe foot injury, Kenny has still planned to play all of his scheduled Texas concert stops. However, the Country star will still have to be careful when he’s on stage.

At a recent show, Kenny got his foot caught between the stage and the hydraulic lift he was using as part of his 2008 Poets and Pirates Tour. He was freed after 40 seconds, but his toes had taken a great deal of damage.

Even with the injury, Kenny did not want to disappoint fans at his next show in Columbia, South Carolina. After a nearly two-hour long concert, Kenny was limping severely and had tears in his eyes from the pain.

After this concert, Kenny Chesney went to an orthopedic specialist in Nashville. The doctor gave Kenny the green card to go ahead for his scheduled shows, but also told him to take it easy.

“Dr. Elrod got that the last thing I want to do is cancel shows, but also that I don’t want any kind of lasting damage,” Kenny said. “”I also have to have a doctor standing by should something give.”

Kenny promises that he will endure through the pain and still bring his best to the upcoming shows in Austin, Oklahoma City and Dallas.
