Chely Wright Plans 10th Annual Reading, Writing and Rhythm Benefit Concert

Chely Wright's 10th Annual Reading, Writing and Rhythm benefit concert will be held June 8 at TPAC’s James Polk Theater in Nashville at 8 p.m. The benefit concert raises money for music education programs, and artists announced to perform include Rodney Crowell, Bucky Covington, Justin Moore, Sarah Buxton, Jann Arden and Wright.

Covington said, "Growing up I played trumpet and french horn. It cost a lot to buy the instruments and that was sometimes the difference between a kid getting to play in the band. I was really lucky to get the chance to learn music at a young age and I'm excited to take part in this year's Reading, Writing and Rhythm benefit concert to give back and help bring musical instruments to schools across the country."

“I am beyond thrilled with the continued growth and success of Reading, Writing & Rhythm,” said founder Chely Wright. “This year's event boasts such amazing artists and our new partnership with The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is the icing on a beautiful 10 Year Anniversary cake!  I'm so proud of this charity and the difference we've been able to make in so many young people's lives.”

The night will include on-stage auction items and a silent auction, all benefitting Reading, Writing and Rhythm, The Chely Wright Foundation. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the TPAC Web site.
