Country stars recently teamed with City of Hope for the 18th Annual Celebrity Softball Challenge, raising over $100,000 for cancer research. Team After MidNite defeated Team Opry Live 8-1 in the game, which was held at Nashville’s Greer Stadium. The fundraising effort is still in process, as fans can bid on celebrity-themed prizes at: http://www.charityfolks.com/cfauctions/auction_verticalngo.asp?slrid=107 . Items up for auction include meet-and-greet opportunities with Kenny Rogers, Luke Bryan, Kellie Pickler and Danielle Peck as well as a host of other autographed pieces of memorabilia. City of Hope is a leading cancer research and treatment center that has been designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute—the highest honor the institute offers.
