The world of hockey is speculating that Carrie Underwood’s Canadian hubby may be headed down south to join the Nashville Predators.

Fischer’s team, the Ottawa Senators’, have had the third worst record in the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-35-8. The rumors of player trading come from the general team manager and the team owners. Names in the conversation allegedly include Fisher and the Nashville Predators.

Even though Fisher’s contract requires two more years with the Senators, it was reported from The Bleacher Report that Fischer “would be a pricey acquisition, but could be a very useful player on the right team.”

Regardless, no trades will occur until the season is over. To Fisher, that's comforting. "It's a good thing, because it would have been our fault if something had happened," Fischer said to TSN.com. "I think we can all just try to relax and play and worry about doing the best job we can moving forward."

Mrs. Mike Fisher is currently settling into her new life as a wife. "It is nice being a hockey wife,” Underwood said to K102 Radio in Minneapolis. “I can spend hours in a grocery store, and I'm the happiest person in the universe."

And though their demanding schedules tend to drive the newlyweds apart, they still try to spend as much time together as possible. “We're together a lot more than people think we are," Underwood said. "Even if it's just for a day, we get to pop in. We'll make sure we put the extra time and effort to do that."

If the speculation is fact, the couple would relocate to Nashville from their home in Ottawa, Canada.
