Country Music stunner Carrie Underwood has earned her 12th No. 1 single for her new hit, “Temporary Home.” This is the second No. 1 hit off her Platinum-certified Play On album. The song climbed the Billboard Hot Country Song charts in just 18 weeks, faster than any other single this year.

Underwood’s emotional music video for the song has also topped CMT’s Top Twenty Countdown for five consecutive weeks.

"Temporary Home" is one of seven tracks that Underwood co-wrote for her Play On album and her fifth co-written No. 1 single. Underwood has always seen “Temporary Home” as an uplifting song, saying, “It’s hopeful, and each person in each story, in each different place in their life, knows that things are going to be okay.”

Not only is Underwood a five-time Grammy winner, three-time CMA and ACM Female Vocalist winner and ACM Entertainer of the Year. She is also the only American Idol winner to ever earn 12 No. 1 hits. Underwood is also the first Country artist in history to attain 10 No. 1 singles on her first two albums.

Some of her 12 No. 1 hits include her post-Idol single, “Inside Your Heaven,” the Grammy-winning “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “Before He Cheats,” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” and “Wasted.” Others include: “Just a Dream,” “Last Name” and “So Small.”
