Carrie Underwood Will Perform at 2010 CMA Music Festival

Fifteen-year-old Riley Ahlstrand, of Brentwood, Tenn., was the first to know that Carrie Underwood would be performing at this year's CMA Music Cestival in Nashville.

According to AOL's The Boot, Ahlstrand posted a letter on the festival’s Web site, which was brought to the attention of Nashville's WKRN-TV. Ahlstrand wrote, “My dream is to meet Carrie Underwood, and the CMA Music Festival is my absolute favorite thing…I am so excited. But the reason I am contacting you is because I really, really, really want Carrie Underwood to be there this year. Last year she was only there to sign autographs, but the line was so long that I didn’t get to meet her… I told all my friends and family about the amazing time I had last year. I invited 13 people to come, and they are all coming because how much I loved it!”
While WKRN-TV was interviewing Ahsltrand, Underwood phoned the reporter to tell Ahlstrand she would be performing at the event. Underwood is the first artist to confirm her appearance at the festival.

CMA Music Fest consists of four days of concerts and meet-and-greets where fans can get up close and personal to their favorite Country artists.
“I always look forward to the excitement of CMA Music Festival,” Underwood told The Boot. “It’s fans like Riley that make the week so much fun.”
Ahlstrand cried tears of joy, “This is the best thing that has ever happened. I couldn’t have dreamed [of] anything cooler than this,” she said.

The CMA Fest lineup will be announced Feb. 18. Tickets are on sale now.
