Carrie Underwood To Perform At 2012 CMA Festival

It's that time again! Time to start the countdown for the next CMA Music Festival, which will be held Thursday-Sunday, June 7-10, 2012. Once again, the festival will take place in Nashville and will be featured later in the summer in a special airing on ABC.
 
Carrie Underwood has already signed on to perform at the festival, which raises money to support music education in Metro Nashville Public Schools. After winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie's first performance was at the CMA Music Festival, and she has been anxious to help ever since. Other performers will be announced soon.
 
"Normally we do not announce talent until February, but we wanted to be sure everyone knew that Carrie has already committed to perform at 2012 CMA Music Festival," says CMA Chief Executive Officer, Steve Moore. "She continues to be one of our most requested artists, and we knew the fans would want to be aware so they could go ahead and make plans to attend our event."
