Carrie Underwood Is Top-Earning American Idol

Carrie Underwood is doing quite well for herself, as confirmed by a Forbes article this week about America's top-earning "Idols."

"Yet for a lesson in how to build truly massive riches, the current finalists should study the brief career of season-four winner Carrie Underwood," the article states, citing that the Country-pop star earned $14 million last year, solidifying her as the richest American Idol.

Underwood earns her income from records, tours and lucrative product endorsements.

Jennifer Hudson, a season three Idol contestant, was in the second spot for highest paid American Idol alum.
