Country superstar Carrie Underwood married Mike Fisher of hockey fame last weekend in Georgia. The ceremony remained small and personal for the couple, but still had room for several celebrity personalities.

With around 250 guests, Underwood and Fisher shared their vows with friends, family and several fellow celebrities.

“The night exceeded all the hopes I had. It was a great party,” she said.

Among the guests in attendance were country stars Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Garth Brooks. Also present were four NHL players, according to The Ottawa Citizen, along with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul of American Idol fame.

Another unique guest was Underwood’s dog, Ace, who was present in a pink tuxedo.

The reception was held in a ballroom decorated in pink with the creative use of hockey pucks to dole out table assignments. The couple shared their first dance to “Love Never Fails” by Brandon Heath.

Underwood also shared a secret to The Ottawa Citizen that revealed how she maintained composure through the wedding ceremony.

“My sister told me if I feel like tearing up, say the Pledge of Allegiance,” she said. “I must have said it 20 times that night!”
