Carrie Underwood Gets a New Figure

The three-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist Carrie Underwood unveiled her wax figure at Madame Tussauds New York this week. Underwood saw the wax likeness for the first time in front of cameras this past Wednesday.The wax Underwood wears a Trish Townsend designed gown donated by the real Underwood, an outfit that saw the red carpet during the 2006 CMA Awards.The figure will be shown in Tussauds "VIP Room" posing in a standing position with hands on hips. Underwood fans will be able to take pictures with and even get free hugs from the wax figure.“I am honored to have been asked to pose for a Madame Tussauds wax figure as this is truly a once in a lifetime experience. I am really excited to attend my unveiling today!" said Underwood.The real Underwood is set to host the 2008 CMA Awards this November with fellow Country Music artist Brad Paisley. Underwood is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
