Carrie Takes TV Viewers on Carnival Ride

10/17/2007 Stephen L. Betts Carrie Underwood will begin television appearances this weekend to promote her new album, Carnival Ride, due in stores Tuesday (10/23). Her first performance is set as part of the Grand Ole Opry’s 82nd Birthday Bash Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 20 as she makes the television debut of her current single “So Small” on Opry Live on GAC. Additional appearances include Good Morning America on the CD's release day, then Live with Regis and Kelly the following day. On Friday (10/26) Carrie performs on the CBS Early Show. Once her slate of appearances in New York City is complete, Carrie heads to L.A. for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday (10/29), followed the next week by a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (11/5). Later in the week the triple-nominee is set for her third appearance on the 41st Annual CMA Awards (11/7) in Nashville. She'll also visit The Late Show with David Letterman on Nov. 13. Also this weekend, Carrie takes over CMT with Carrie Music Televison, premiering Saturday (10/20) at 3:30 p.m. (ET). Carrie programs six half-hour episodes of her favorite videos in the new series, and steps in as honorary CMT host for the weekend. Carrie stopped by the CMT studio to dish about her latest album with hosts Lance Smith and Katie Cook on CMT Top 20 Countdown, which premieres tomorrow (10/18) at 9:00 a.m. (ET) and CMT Insider, premiering Saturday (10/20) at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
