Carrie Climbs Charts...and More Charts

4/9/2008 Staff Carrie Underwood Tops Charts Country Music hitmaker Carrie Underwood is not letting break-up drama slow her down.  This week, the three-time Grammy winner scores big on the charts with two albums inside the Country Top 10, as well as two Country singles in the Top 20 of the Country airplay charts.  Carrie's “Last Name” jumps to #17 while the former #1 hit “All-American Girl” resides at #12 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.  “All-American Girl” also moves to #15 on this week’s Radio Disney's Top 30 Countdown, while the song's video tops GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown The reigning Country Music female vocalist also received additional certifications for both of her multi-platinum selling albums.  Carrie's debut CD, Some Hearts, has sold over 7 million copies while the current release, Carnival Ride, enjoys double-platinum status.  The RIAA also certified sales of two of Carrie's #1 singles, "Wasted" and "So Small," as Gold Digital Singles, for 500,000 purchased downloads per single.   Carrie Underwood is a busy little bee.  The American Idol veteran will appear tonight on American Idol: Idol Gives Back (7:30 PM ET, on FOX), then perform during next Monday's 2008 CMT Music Awards.  A few weeks later, Carrie will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opy on May 10th.  Her tour schedule keeps her occupied as well, as she co-headlines with fellow Country Music star Keith Urban.
