4/15/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Songwriting culture is alive and well in Nashville, as proven by the return of The Carriage House Music Series, set to run Wednesday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville. In partnership with ASCAP, the fourth installment of the series brings an amazing group of songwriters including: •    J. Fred Knobloch, "If My Heart Had Wings" (Faith Hill) and "Meanwhile" (George Strait) •    Tony Haselden, "It Ain't Nothin" (Keith Whitley) and "Take It Like A Man" (Michelle Wright) •    Roxie Dean, "Why They Call It Falling" (Lee Ann Womack) and "My Sister" (Reba McEntire) •    Dave Turnbull, "Lucky Man" (Montgomery Gentry) and "If Something Should Happen" (Darryl Worley). The event is catered by Pan South Catering, which draws its menus from the well-loved Nashville eateries, Bound'ry and South Street. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Series benefits Belle Meade Plantation and its outreach programs. Bob Paxman of Country Weekly said, "There's no better way to spend an evening than listening to great stars under the stars at Belle Meade Plantation. The Carriage House Music Series is a great addition to Music City's entertainment calendar." Past performers for the series have included the legendary songwriter and founder of Murrah Music, Roger Murrah, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Bill Anderson, Jimmy Dean, Don Schlitz and many more. Installments of last year’s series with Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Brett James, Tim Nichols and Rivers Rutherford air on XM Satellite Radio Highway 16 (Channel 16).
