3/6/2008 Kasey Bell   Yesterday CMT’s newest reality show, Can You Duet, announced the judges for the show that seeks to crown country music’s new great duo. Naomi Judd, Brett Manning, and Aimee Mayo have signed on to judge the contestants’ performances, joining host Rossi Morreale.  Country fans know Naomi Judd, one of country’s biggest female stars. She has sold over 20 million albums, won five Grammy awards, written several successful books and hosted her own talk show. Brett Manning is a well-known vocal coach, with such stars as Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Brian White on the list of those he’s trained. Aimee Mayo is one of country’s most successful songwriters. She has written songs for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Kenny Chesney, among others, including the Grammy award-winning hit “Amazed.” Her songs have sold over 110 million units worldwide. While other shows focus on individual talent, Can You Duet has contestants competing as parts of a duet with different partners each week. The three judges not only serve to criticize and decide who will go home each week, but they will also be mentors to the contestants and help the duets as they progress. Produced by FreemantleMedia North America, the same company that gave us American Idol, Can You Duet is set to premiere on CMT on Monday, April 14, at 10:30 p.m., ET/PT.
