Chris Cagle Acquitted

Country Music singer Chris Cagle is heaving a sigh of relief today.  Cagle was found not guilty of domestic violence charges brought against him from a domestic dispute that took place at his home in Nashville earlier this year.

Cagle and his girlfriend, Jennifer Tant, were arrested at his home on May 28 after a fight in which Tant struck Cagle with an umbrella, and Cagle in turn, hit Tant with her purse.

Tant took the stand yesterday and refused to testify against Cagle.

Cagle's attorney, Bill Ramsey, released the following statement today:

"It's a shame these charges were ever brought. Period! Chris was not, and never was, guilty of domestic violence, abuse or assault and the Judge properly found him 'Not Guilty.' Chris is relieved the accuracy of the matter has been revealed and the ordeal is over."

The Country Music bad boy isn't out of the woods yet, he is still scheduled to stand trail on Sept. 28 in Tucson for assault charges from a December 13, 2007 altercation with Mark Barry.
