Country Music recording artist Bucky Covington graduated from Jeff Foxworthy's Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader classroom last night on CMT.

The former American Idol contestant aced the first round of questions, with a little help from his 10-year-old classmates, winning $25,000 out of the gate. The singer decided to take the money and run, putting a large donation in the hand of his charity, The Arthritis Foundation. The non-profit offers education, pursues public policy and legislation, and aids to improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis.

"Just like any good student would do, I called my mom first after the class ended," said Covington. "Arthritis hits close to home with our family and I had to let her know about the A+ win!"

Covington is one of only three male Country artists since 2005 to have three consecutive top 10 singles from his self-titled debut album. Currently, Covington is on the road playing dates across the country; his next stop is Rockingham, N.C. for his first hometown concert since American Idol.
