8/10/2007 Stephen L. Betts Bucky Covington was scheduled to headline a show at the fairgrounds in Chillicothe, Ohio on Thursday night (Aug. 9). The show was a benefit for Rock For Tots, a children's charity supporting 25 children's organizations throughout southern Ohio. As the day progressed, however, the skies opened up with torrential rains, lightning and 50 mph winds. By the time the storms passed much of the equipment onstage had been damaged by the heavy rains. Not wanting to disappoint, Bucky went out into the grandstands to perform an acoustic set and to sign autographs for fans.
