Kix, Ronnie Introduce Alter Egos to Readers

2/19/2008 Meaghan Mitchell   Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have taken their writing to a whole new arena, reaching beyond songwriting with the publication of the book The Adventures of Slim & Howdy. Slim and Howdy are the alter egos of Ronnie and Kix, first introduced in the liner notes of the duo's 1991 debut album. In the book, Slim and Howdy take off in their truck and set out on an adventure on the road to musical stardom, meeting a crooked card shark and a jealous boyfriend along the way. The book, a collaboration of the duo and author Bill Fitzhugh, hits stores May 12.
