11/5/2007 Stephen L. Betts Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dunn hosted an advance screening of the upcoming film August Rush at his farm south of Nashville this past weekend. Sheryl Crow, Lee Ann Womack, Guy Clark, Kim Carnes, Rodney Crowell, Holly Williams, Raul Malo, Suzy Bogguss, and Blue County, were among those watching the film, which stars young actor Freddie Highmore, along with Jonathan Rhys Myers, Keri Russell, Terence Howard, and Robin Williams. Ronnie’s friend Anastasia Brown, who's best known as a judge on Nashville Star, served as the film’s music supervisor. In other Brooks & Dunn news, Kix Brooks spoke to a group of Harvard University students last week about the music business. “It feels good to be able to share such an interesting success story between the music community and the city of Nashville," says Kix. "The students got it, and once again, it made me very proud to realize country music's relevance on the national stage." The pair performed on ABC-TV's The View Monday morning, and will be performing on Country Music’s Biggest Night – at the 41st Annual CMA Awards – on Wednesday night.
