Broadway's Laura Bell Bundy Releasing Country Single

Broadway star Laura Bell Bundy has gone Country with the release of her first single, “Giddy On Up,” which will premiere on CMT and CMT.com on Monday, Jan. 18. Bundy is a Tony Award nominated performer known for her roles in several hit Broadway musicals such as Legally Blonde, Hairspray and Wicked.

Even though Bundy was born and raised in Lexington, Ky., she isn’t considered a typical Country artist. She concocted a bold concept for her first album, Achin’ and Shakin’, which is basically two separate albums within one project. Achin’ is comprised of slow and sultry Country songs where as Shakin’ is a group of sassy songs that mix humor, confidence and attitude together.

 

“Two records, one woman’ is my motto,” said Bundy, who wrote all but one of the songs on her album.
