Steve Martin made his debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry with Vince Gill and John McEuen on Saturday night. But what he did not know was that his former Father of the Bride co-star, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, would be showing up with her husband, Brad Paisley, who would make a spur-of-the-moment performance, TheBoot.com wrote
When Paisley got up to the stage to perform, he introduced his song by saying, "I went to see Father of the Bride in '91, because Steve Martin was in it and I thought it would be funny. There was somebody else who was in that movie, and I thought I loved her then." After this statement, Paisley launched into his fastest rising No. 1 hit of his career, "Then," which brought his wife to tears.
