Jon Bon Jovi is now on the list of musicians requesting that Republican John McCain's campaign stop using songs without permission.Bon Jovi, an Obama supporter,  learned that the McCain campaign has used the song "Who Says You Can't Go Home" during rallies held by VP running mate Sarah Palin this week.In a statement, Bon Jovi said, "We wrote this song as a thank you to those who have supported us over the past 25 years. The song has since become a banner for our home state of New Jersey and the de facto theme song for our partnerships around the country to build homes and rebuild communities. Although we have not asked, we do not approve of their use of 'Home.'"Other artists protesting the Republican campaign using songs without permission include John Mellencamp, Heart, Survivor, Foo Fighters, Jackson Brown and Van Halen.Reuters reports that musicians often have little say over who uses their music because of how the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers licenses songs for public performance.
