Bo Bice will host the 5th Annual Armed Forces Poker Run in Pelham Alabama on Aug. 2.  The run will benefit the the Readiness and Family Support Organization, a non-profit organization committed to support our troops and their families.

Thanks to their many volunteers, the organization has been able to send over 200 care packages to Iraq, Africa, Afghanistan and other countries. They have also been able to send crates of bottled water, “Thank-you” cards from schools and Bibles. Their mission is “to promote the welfare and bolster morale of our armed forces personnel, their families and veterans.”

Participants in the race will ride motorcycles through a 60-mile loop where they will make multiple stops. At each stop, they will collect a card for their poker hand and a prize. The charity ride will start at American Classic Motorcycles and will end at Pub 261. The best hand at the end of the ride wins.

“The Readiness and Family Support Organization works hard with our Military Force Members families to give the men and women a bit of home while they are serving our country abroad. I’ve been over to Afghanistan and Kuwait and know first hand how much it means to the troops when someone takes the time to come visit, send letters and emails and show support for them. They pay for our freedom everyday and we need to show them all how grateful we are. Please come out and join me and my friends in Pelham, AL on August 2 for a summer time ride,” said Bice.
