Hey Brother Could You Help A Dog Out…

Webb close up on the floor
Since I was fortunate enough to be one of the few dogs whose owner actually allows them to blog (all dogs actually have this capability they’re just never allowed to develop it), it is my duty to help out fellow dogs in need when I can. So I wanted to let you know about a couple programs that give you humans a chance to help out a dog.

Help the Brown Dog Foundation Rally for a Pepsi Refresh Grant
The Pepsi Refresh Campaign awards a $250,000 grant to a nonprofit group that promotes community enhancement.
The Brown Dog Foundation, with chapters in Tennessee and Illinois, provides funds to humans that cannot afford to pay for life-saving veterinary care for their pets. If they win the grant, Brown Dog will open chapters across the country to help many more families that cannot pay for their pet’s care.
Here’s all you have to do, and it is very easy. Either vote online (and you can do it everyday) by going to www.refresheverything.com/browndogfoundation or test 101781 to Pepsi (73774). And do it daily now!

Help the Grey Ghosts Rescue Volunteers
This one’s strictly to help take care of Weimaraners. The Weimaraner Rescue of the South, which helps abandoned, abused and displaced Weims (that’s what us dogs call them) from Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee and even Alabama. Here’s the deal: Grey Ghosts & Spirits.
Okay here’s what that is:
  • The Grey Ghosts & Spirits is an annual event. They call Weimaraners “Grey Ghosts”. This year it’s about a Hawaiian theme and there will be drink specials, food, live entertainment and themed attire. It all happens at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel on August 28 from 5:30-8 PM.
  • Prior to that is Weimapalooza 2010. That’s on August 12 from 6-8 PM at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. This one you bring your dog to. You can listen to a live patio concert.

So brothers, and sisters, try to help a dog out now why don’t you?
