9/24/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Recording his album Pure BS gave Blake Shelton the chance to hang with the legendary George Jones, and another of his heroes, John Anderson. The two came into the studio with him to record "The Last Country Song." Blake recalls that when John Anderson entered the facility it was as if a superhero was standing there, and he was like a kid in a candy store. Then George Jones arrived, and Blake says both he and John were awestruck. "I just stood back and watched and was amazed at the different levels of heroes there are for all of us," he says, adding that he found it "overwhelming" to share a studio with two country music giants.
