Billy Ray Wants Hannah Made in Tenn.

2/21/2008 Meaghan Mitchell Billy Ray Cyrus is hoping the highly-anticipated Hannah Montana movie will be filmed in Tennessee. The country singer tells the Tennessean that he’s been trying to have the movie shot there since the storyline depicts Hannah (played by his real-life daughter Miley Cyrus) and her father returning to their home state of Tennessee.  One of the deciding factors in bringing the movie to the Nashville area, and not to Louisiana, the other state under consideration, will be whether Tennessee is willing to offer incentives which are as good - or better - than Louisiana is prepared to offer to Disney, the makers of the film and the popular Hannah Montana TV series on which the film is based. Regardless of where the film ultimately ends up being made, it is expected to begin shooting in April and is set for release late in 2008 or in early 2009.
