Miley Cyrus says there are things about country music that make her nervous, like having to “play the game” to be successful. She says it is all very political and she thinks that’s why her dad got out of it. I thought he got out of it so he could spend more time teaching his children when to speak and when to hold your tongue. Woof.

He’s the first male country music artist to score a #1 on his debut single since 2003. He also sounds like he has George Strait in his genes, or is that jeans? Anyway, congratulations to Easton Corbin for his #1 hit “I’m A Little More Country Than That”. I like that part about an “old hound laying around”. Now that’s country!

 

Brad Paisley H2O Tour Not Watered Down

Brad Paisley has announced a 75 city 2010 tour covering the United States, Canada and Europe. Darius Rucker and Justin Moore will open along with some other artists at various venues. Here’s the cool thing about Brad’s H20 World Tour, Brad is partnering with Hope Through Healing Hands to bring clean and drinkable water to the 1 out of 5 people around the world who don’t have it. They’ll be taking donations at every concert! I’m lapping it up Brad!

Last week,my favorite husband and wife duo Joey+Rory were named ACM’sTop New Vocal Duo and are now considered nominees for the Top New Artist award.  This week, the couple, also nominatedfor ACM Vocal Duo, will perform and receive their “New Duo” trophy during a taping of the Trace Adkins-hosted GAC special “ACM Top New Artists,” which will premiere Thursday, April 1.
