Billy Ray Cyrus Focuses on Mending Family

After Miley Cyrus’s alleged underage drinking binge and drug use tore across headlines, her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, admitted he felt partly responsible for her actions.
 
Although previously claiming to be a victim to 18-year-old Miley's antics, Billy Ray has decided to quit playing the blame game and take his family's issues into his own hands.
 
"It is very important to me to work on mending my family right now," Billy Ray told People magazine.
 
He had been in Nashville since October after filing for divorce from his wife, Tish, but has since returned to Los Angeles to spend time with his youngest daughter, Noah, and his estranged spouse.
 
"My family is the most important thing I have, and we are working together to make sure our future is stronger and healthier," he said. "It is all a learning process, and we thank everyone for their support and respect of our privacy as we sort through very important family issues."
 
The famous father was planning a trip to New York City this week to appear on The View but has since canceled his plans. Miley is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on March 5.
