Billy Currington titled his latest album, Little Bit of Everything, to identify the various musical styles recorded. The album offers a variety of tempos but steered clear of emotional content. Currington, who recently spent time in extended therapy for anger management and child trauma, purposely stayed away from sad songs.“I recorded this project four or five months after I came back,” he told Country Life. “I’m in a very happy place-and was during the recording of this album. I was pitched many sad songs, but every time I’d hear one it was a turnoff. I had gone through songs I’d written in the past that I thought were really good, but if they didn’t give me a happy feeling I didn’t want any part of them.”“Don’t” is the album's first single and is among GAC’s top 50 videos of 2008. This upbeat song is also standing at No. 5 on the USA Today Mediabase Country singles chart.“Those kinds of songs just fit me well,” Currington said. “And it feels good when I sing it.”
