Big & Rich Return to the Studio

Country duo Big & Rich announced Sunday they are heading back into the studio to record new music.
　
"We’re going to start new rehearsals next month," said Big Kenny Alphin at the Academy of Country Music Awards. "We got new music coming out next month."
　
The announcement comes in the midst of preparations for a summer tour, which will include other members of the MuzikMafia, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy and Two Foot Fred.
　
New music from the duo is slated for a May release. The release will be the first since the duo's 2009 Greatest Hits album.
 
John Rich is currently raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as one of the celebrities on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," which airs Sundays at 8 p.m. CST.
