Country artist Big Kenny has been searching for his missing friend, Walt Ratterman, in Haiti since the earthquake there several weeks ago. Unfortuanely, Ratterman’s remains were found at the Hotel Montana in Part-au-Prince, Haiti, where he had been staying when the earthquake hit. Ratterman, 57, who was abroad to promote renewable energy projects.
Ratterman’s daughter, Briana, told All-Access, “He has inspired thousands of people. It’s so clear from Facebook and even beyond. People are constantly e-mailing me, looking for ways to continue his vision.”
Ratterman co-founded SunEnergy Power International, a non-profit organization that promotes renewable energy in remote countries. He had been in Haiti checking on projects at schools and hospitals. His main mission was to get clean water to the Haitians.
