Josh Turner Everything Is Fine MCA Nashville “South Carolina Low Country,” the title of the final track on deep-voiced neo-traditionalist Josh Turner’s third album is a clever play on where he’s from and way he sings. And although it probably wouldn’t look as good (or fit well) on a label, the song probably should have been called "South Carolina Voice Couldn't Get Much Lower, Songs Couldn't Get Much More Country.” Josh has clearly learned a lot from the likes of Randy Travis, John Anderson, and Gene Watson, but he’s continuing to establish himself as a real original. Each of his albums has been worthwhile. This one is essential.
