6/19/2008 Cliff Chartrand Clay Walker Band Against MS Country Music singer Clay Walker’s foundation for Multiple Sclerosis research, Band Against MS, recently granted a $5000 Summer Research Scholarship to Stephanie Tran, a student at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. Tran will work alongside Dr. Jerry Wolinsky this summer. Wolinsky is the personal physician for Walker, who was diagnosed with MS in 1996. The Country Music star is one of 2.5 million people who have been diagnosed with the disease. BAMS has awarded over $350,000 to UT Houston for Multiple Sclerosis research since 2004.
