Autumn-Boukadakis Autumn Boukadakis released her second album, Velvet Sky, on Oct 7 with Ghostlight Productions. Teaming up with Walt Wilkins and Tim Lorsch, who helped her with her 2006 album Sugarcane, her album is raw, earthy and natural. Her album release party was held on Oct. 1 at the One World Theater in Austin, Texas, soon after her return from debuting in the UK.As a singer/songwriter, Boukadakis wrote seven of the songs on Velvet Sky, with Wilkins writing four. The album also features a cover of Patty Griffin’s “Nobody’s Crying.” Boukadakis graduated with a degree in Classical Piano from the University of Texas in 2004. After college, she spent some time on the No. 1 rated “JB and Sandy Morning Show” on 94.7 KAMX Austin. Her time on the radio helped prepare her for the demanding career of a recording and touring artist and taught her the importance of being energetic and humorous in front of an audience.Her family is oozing with talent. Brother Joey is a promising screenwriter and filmmaker who is now celebrating a landmark in his career. On top of creating Autumn’s first music video, Joey just signed with MGM to write the remake for Back to School.
